RE: London Swap Meet

I might get some work done on my car Sunday after the swap meet. I don't think there's anything for the car that i need but i'm going to be hunting for some tools. If i don't find them there i'll be making a run into Princess Auto possibly. If i don't feel like getting anything done maybe i'll take a cruise on down to Port Stanley. I really should get some work done at home though either on the car on just around the house. I'll try to get to the swap meet for 9am.

im lookin for 14" trim rings. i was hoping to score a pair at the swap meet. I would actually like to find some that are not, yes not, in perfect shape, i dont want them to be the only nice chrome on the car!! Also hope to get some bullet style lugs for the wheels. What about a cp lunch? Theres either the Timmies in Lambeth or a little restaurant there also.

If you need 14 " trim rings 59poncho I have a decent set of 4 you can purchase for $30 unless you have a deal with someone else, I don't want to step on anyone's toes.
Sold the 39 fender today
The intake I have is a nice clean Holley Contender (same as the Edelbrock RPM) also the Holley carb is a 3310 I believe that is a 750 cfm, it's clean but has sat for a while so probably would need a quick overhaul.
Looks like the weather is going to be grrrrreat!

I'd need an aluminum BB Chevy spread bore intake and headers for a B body if anyone has any.

i will take a look at those trim rings arcacdian for sure. Im bringin the 59 so maybe i can see if they look good. I think i have to put on either some bigger rims and tires, or maybe get those big spacers to bring the wheels out more, they look so small compared to the 15 by 8s i had on there. Hey Todd, did you guys want to meet at my place first on your way thru, or just there at the gates, up to you.

I think it will be easier to meet up when we are ready to leave and go for lunch so does 12 noon at the front gate make sense?  Is there a good restaurant nearby that anyone knows of?  Maybe we could pick that now and make that the meeting place?

Is the meet big enough that we need 3 hrs to see it all? I was thinking maybe 11?

I dunno.  Who has been there before?  How long does it take to get through it?  I guess we could check in at 11:00 and see where we are?confuse

From what i've heard it's been smaller than it used to be. I'm up early and planning on still going early, sometime after 8 so if anyone is there for 9 i'll be there. Don't know if i'll be sticking around until 11, see how long it takes me to get through. Still thinking earlier means better selection. Hope to meet some of you. I'm taking the Trans Am and want to get home before any chance of rain this afternoon.

Had a great time at the meet. It was good to see Trevor, Randy, Brad, Hillar, Brian, Keith and Chris! I hadn't been to that swap meet since about 1987. Boy, it's grown! I didn't buy anything however.

I echo Todd's comment, it was great to meet/see everyone again!  The weather was just perfect for the second Sunday in a row for a gathering of CPer's (including last weekend's Pontiac show at HMP in Hamilton) - we must be blessed this year.  I was impressed by the swap meet - I purchased way more than I did at Barrie last weekend, plus it was a true "automotive" swap meet, without having to waste time wading through rows of socks and t-shirt vendors, if you know what I mean.wink

My only regret was that I didn't get a chance to meet C2 which I was really looking forward to.  Carl, were you there at all today?confuse

No, I didn't take my camera. Would have made for a great group shot if we could have managed to get everyone together.
