Excellent work. Notice as well that you have all of the safety gear at hand - mask, ear protection, eye protection & gloves. Just like in an industrial work place. Something we all need to think of when working on our cars.
My file at the Emergency room is too big...I have learned the hard way..so I have all the gear..all the time.!..... Progress is good..stripping the paint now..just have to cut the floor a little to make room for the 6 speed tranny..it doesnt quite fit..more pics to follow..
also..thanks to some members here..I have all the grille parts accounted for!!your help is greatly appreciated!!
thanks everyone

Great work. Its looking like a Beaumont already. That firewall work is excellant.
I have seen Albert's 2 69 Chevelles and can tell you Albert always does great work. I am looking forward to seeing this one next year at Chevellabration. James

I applaud your safety first approach. I like what you are doing with that car.

What I also found interesting is that the factory air firewall is different. I always thought they were the same. Good info.
For sure from 64-72 it's different from air to non air. Not sure about later.
Some day when I'm rich enough to retire I'd love to set up at home doing installations of things like A/C, power options, 4 speed conversions etc on restored cars. That kind of work would be fun.

You are making great progress. What is that engine?
The Block is a new GM re-issue ZL-1 block. its basically a aluminum bowtie block..splayed 4 bolt caps, steel liners. nice piece. I have built a couple of these..the motor for this car will be a std bore 427, open chamber alum heads..solid roller..should be fun
More progress....trans has been fitted, shifter hump installed..body back off and on the dolly..time for blasting and more strippinng, especially the undercoating on the bottom..yuck!!
