power steering help? Nother silly question...

Hey, i have a 70 2dr strato with manual steeringa nd brakes, so i was looking at upgrading to power steering and was wondering what all was involved. I know the steering box and pump are still available through napa, not sure about lines tho, is that really it? Mount pump, mount steering box, run lines and voila? Having only sigle groove pulleys i would have to find a power steering car to steal a 2 groove pulley to drive the pump, or would i just get a longer belt and run it the same as it is now? Any help would be appreciated...

-Yes, a double groove bottom pulley will be required.

-Power steering box, power steering pump, brackets and hoses required.

-I think the arm on the bottom of the box that connects to the linkage (pitman arm) is different from manual to power steering. I will check later today.

It is certainly the easiest if you can find a junker that has a whole setup and then you can include all the nuts, bolts, clips etc.

I would think 69-70 Parisienne, Impala etc will be the same setup but I can check that for you as well.

re the lines, they're also available from NAPA.  The return hose is pretty straight forward (just a male fitting on one end, and hose on the other), but pay attention to the pressure hose.  In 1969, the pump had a male fitting on it, and in 1970 the pump had a female fitting.   If I recall, the pressure hose from NAPA was for a 1969, but also included an adapter so could be used on a 1970.
