Under hood details for 1964 Parisienne

I'm trying to keep my '64 project going with lack of funds.  So I'm electing to detail the engine compartment untill funds situation changes.  The small stuff under the hood doesn't cost much,.. other than time.  I'm looking for "factory correct" details.

If anyone could help me it would be greatly appreciated.

What type of "factory correct" seal or sealer that was used for the heater core cover? (the seal inbetween the firewall and heater cover)

What type of covering was used for the exposed wiring harness?  Did they really use just plain electrical tape back in '64?

What type of seal is used around the winshield washer lines at the firewall?

Was the master cylinder reservoir bare metal (no paint) from the factory?

Where can one buy the original type of batery cable ends that were used in '64?

Thanks for any help that you may be able to give!

here's a few to start

wiring wrap is a special tape, that looks somewhat like electrical tape, but isn't. It is avaialble from Eastwood Tools.

believe master cylinder reservoir is just bare metal. Bare metal can be replicated using Eastwood cast grey paint ( just don't spill brake fluid on it or it will blister like any other paint )

battery cables, with the correcxt snap ring ends, are available from most any chevy supplier.

Thanks very much Ted.

Any thoughts on the heater core cover gasket?  It looks like it may have been a foam strip of sorts.  The seal on my '64 is old and brittle.  Or it may have been some sort of rubbersized caulking.  ?
