hey guys how to i seprate the engine from trans i got it out and laying on my front lawn and all the bolts holding the bell housing to the engine but she won't come any ideas?... If needed ill add pictures
lay in on it's side, take the inspection cover off and undo all 3 of the torque converter bolts. pry the converter back towards the tranny. DO this so that you don't damge the seal and input shaft when you split the engine from tranny. 6 bolts holding the engine to trany. now give it a couple of good wacks and wiggle . it should come apart clean.

Does it stay on the front lawn? If so you might want to keep the engine and tranny together. If it's going in your bedroom for storage, it's a lot easier to move when separated

kinda like the time mom and dad came home to find me baking the paint on my headers for my 67 Chevelle in the OVEN. seemed like a good idea at the time, HOT ROD magizine never said anything about the smell.
thank goodness my parents had a sense of humour ....

I had three cars in my parent's newly-paved driveway when I was 17. The one car on blocks sunk a bit, another car leaked tranny fluid. I was patching the driveway after I sold them, with my angry Dad standing over my shoulder.

I had my Model A taking prime space in the garage and the 41 Ford I bought for the hydraulic brakes in the back yard on blocks most of the time I was in college ... I don't think the grass ever grew back under the 41 ...
But way to go JD, you are learning by leaps and bounds as you make progress!
