I just received the new panhard or track rod bushings to the '69 2+2, however, the bushings are both different sizes. My bar has two ends that are identical and they are the same size as the smaller bushing in the kit (1.25"). I got these from Hubbard's and they are Energy Suspension bushings. I would prefer stock rubber ones if anyone makes them. The box says they are for a '65-70 Impala. What should I be asking for or is my bar incorrect? As always, appreciate the help! Thanks!
Just found out that 2 different rods were used. Found a set of poly bushings for $12 at Suspension Restoration Parts. They note a separate part number for the bar where the ends are the same...like mine. Maybe this will help someone else too.
A panhard rod with two small bushings the same diameter, became part of the F41 handling option in 67. Probably less than 5% of overall production got this part. Before that (65-66), in the case of Chevrolet at least, all cars but Caprice apparently had this same bar. The Caprice got the one with one bigger end.
Less deflection with the two small bushings? More cushion with the larger one?
The far more common standard bar has one small and one larger bushing. The big end goes to the axle side, and two different sized studs were used at the axle depending on the bushing diameter.

I Found at eBay the small correct bushings in polyurethane ..
During searching for These bushings i Found out that If you Drop the Car with lower coil spindles the Car will Be more lower at rh Side because you have to use an adjustable panhard bar or you have to remove. I Had recently use New 1" drop coil spindles and the Car was at rh lower as lh .. I changed the rear spindles lh to rh .. Same trouble These adjustable panhard bar are now available for 65-70 around 50-120 USD at eBay .. Complete with poly bushings an Perfect shine in black or red I just ordered One..
