I would love to see the one photo that didn't load properly. That one will show the Beaumont specific air cleaner. The other photos are great. Thankyou for posting them. So the jury is out on this one because a 327 300 HP in a 65 Beaumont SD is a American made motor with a Canadian suffix stamped on it. I wonder why the L79 didn't go the same way?
The L79 seems to be an after thought seeing the first brochurs did not list the motor as an option. With only 23 engines I guess they stamped them at flint and sent them out.
I have a fellow that I know that swears that all these motors are Canadian but this proves different. Good info for anybody restoring such a car. I need to find me one of those air cleaners.
Hey kevin does your suffix have a space like the red 66 SD block after the first two digits or is that a manual trans thing? My 65 283 PG blocks don't have the space in the suffix.

I`ve had a few ask me about the air cleaner. What do you think the complete motor is worth?

Kevin I will send you a PM because I'm going through this right now.
I havent chimed in on this thread as mine is a 275 hp 327. Do you require anything of me?...

Would that be a US car and a US 67 block?
Good question. I assumed it was a Canadian car. The car spent all of its years in Canada until purchased by my dad in the late 80's, he parted the car out. I thought it said made in Canada on the intake but I had a look and I couldn't find it. Does anyone else remember seeing a Made in Canada anywhere on their engine?

K 104 KL is stamped on the front pad. Does this help id it?....It would appear the K is for St. Catherines (Macinnon industries Canada) See link http://www.nastyz28.com/sbchevy/sblock.php

Yes for sure. If your car is numbers match what size is the print on the casting and what does your suffix look like. Pictures are good too.
Yup, to the numbers match. I'll make a trip over to where it is stored within the next few days...
PS It's a '66 and I believe the original request was re '65. Still interested?

This is a March 65 Impala 327 block. I pulled this out of a Minnesota car close to 20 years ago. The whole underhood appeared totally virgin, i.e. all the proper clips, straps, ground wires, shields etc pretty much still in place. I am quite confident it had never been out of the car.
Are these shots ok or do you need different angles/closeups etc?

Man those hands look young Carl. Have you been taking an orbital sander to them?

Haha, my "old" hair more than makes up for the young looking hands Geoff!!!
Paul, I tried to get that 327 Chevelle engine shot the other day but I'm going to have to take another crack at it sometime with some tools. The powerglide kickdown junk is right on top of the casting number.

Wow those pictures are great guys and thanks Carl for the effort. The suffix stamping sure is all over the map on these Canadian cars. It sure is neat to see. What 327 cars get clutch fans because I have seen two 327 65 Beaumonts without it and also my 66 SD doesn't have it?
