Need to know what was original from the factory, body color, spatter or black?

I'm thinking body color (like 64),but need confirmation.

Wrong info carl.

1963 canadian built chevys and pontiacs use spatter paint in the trunk.  Grey with black and white specs.

It was the last year for it.

1964 all canadian cars were body color.

I was kind of thinking body color was incorrect as I have seen 2 fairly original cars with no sign of body color in the trunk.

Was the spatter just in the well/trunk floor or was it also on the spare platform above gas tank?

If anybody has a trunk picture, that would be GREAT!

Its all over.

Here is a canadian original paint 62 chevy, but its exactly the same on 63 pontiac

I would get a L of black and white paint.  Mix the 2 for a base of grey.  They turn gun pressure down to almost 0 and spatter some black and then some white.

the results will be exactly like factory

no; I believe the splatter on the 1/4's & wheel wellls was over spray fron the trunk floor but I stand to be corrected

That texture of paint sure hides a lot but I still like it painted. It just looks better to me. Kelly's 65 Beaumont Sd trunk is one of the nicest that I have seen. I wish he would post a pic of it and maybe you would agree.

do you mean the whole trunk painted in body colour ??

but i would be scared to put the spare tire and other junk in it !!

...thanks a lot guys..so as I understand the consensus, I'm painting the entire trunk, including inside quarters, body colour, correct?

 Yep! 100% correct for a '64 Parisienne

Body colour as well for the firewall ... just the firewall up front.
