power windows on my 1964 Parisienne CS convertible

one of my 1964 Parisienne CS convertible has power windows, and after my last ride 2 of them would not come back up (driver window and passenger back window)

i think the main switch (4switch on driver side) doesn't seem to be working!!! i removed it from the door and can't see anything wrong with it

anyone know what can go wrong with those switches? what should i look for?

any help would be greatly appreciated

I'd spray it with electrical contact cleaner first & work the cleaner in with the switches.
If that doesn't help,I've carefully taken the 2-gang style apart before & you should be able to see if one of the contacts is burnt or crusty.

Your problem is likely in the wire harness on drivers door where in goes from the door to the pillar. Had the same thing on my Catalina & the harness had broken inside the boot & tape from yrs of "flexing"

Does the back window work off the single switch back there? That is a good test if it's the wire broken in the door off the 4 gang switch. I've had that happen before.

problem solved, after 2 hours of work

few things were happening

1. blown fuse

2. electrical short, all wires were cracked in the boot and most were touching

3. removed about 2 rolls of electrical tape, why do people use so damn much???

4. cleaned all contacts in the 4 gang while i was at it
