from the interent....

If it's original, it's not glued. It's suspended by metal rods called bows, which are different sizes and must remain in the same order they came out. For the price (usually around $100), you can't beat taking it to someone who knows what they're doing. It's not all that hard, but there are ways to screw it up and cuss yourself every time you drive it. Don't ask me how I know.

I did mine myself but it's no job for easily discouraged. It was a lot of work but mine came out fine. If I could've found someone around here to do it for $100 I'd have jumped on it.

Not only were the rods all different in my '64, there were 3 possible holes for each of them. Cut off the cover and leave the rods in place, take photos of everything because you will not remember what goes where

pay to have it installed or be prepared to look at the wrinkles each time you get in the car

I have never installed new but I did take out 2 in separate vehicles and installed them in another...

I took a black interior out of a '70 Laurentian 2dr for my Parisienne and swapped interior from my '67 Grande wagon into a '68 Laurentian wagon...

It was not too terrible hard... Start at the ends and work your way to the middle... Just notice where/which holes the rods fit into to.. And when you install, start at the middle and work your way to the ends.. I did this myself with no help and it looks fine... But with new, that could be a different issue that I have never done!

paid for a couple, then i did my own, i had it in and out a few times

and it never looked as good as the ones i paid for, well worth the money,

i only did one to see if i could do it, spend the $150, plus the cost of the

headliner, ive bought several from NOS, all were nice, only me to

blame for the wrinkles in the last one

My neighbour did the one in his 60 TBird, he & his "lady" friend spent 2 days putting "new" one in after he took the old one out week before, Said it wasn't the easyest job, they are "still" talking to each other,& the H/Liner looks really good!!! Don't know where they came up w/$100 to do it??? Local shops near here are closer to $500 + to re & re one
