Never heard back from Steve..so I bought locally..paying way more...but the project moves ahead..picking up some more bits today then dropping them at Braziers..figure I'll have the block back by Friday or Monday...
Then it will be save some more money and then get onto the heads....
yea he phoned me once and never returned any calls untill i ordered with my friends paypal account. GUESS HES NOT A PHONE GUY BUT AS SOON AS I ORDERED IT WAS GOOD
Got all the parts except the freeze plugs but George had a set at the shop...so I dropped off all my bearings and the pistons for the final sizing..so I should have everything (minus the heads) back by the weekend!
Here's the block awaiting final boring to the new pistons. George has the brass freeze plugs and I dropped the cam bearings, mains and rod bearings as well..should be ready for the weekend...
Yeah, he flipped me a cheque and I flipped the 327 his way. I bought it and resold it, like a true flipper. Had it for about 15 years taking up space in the corner of my garage and sold it for exactly what I paid for it, right to the penny!
My name is Carl, and I'm a flipper........................

the scrap guy came to my house yesterday and loaded his truck with metal and called me a HOARDER......I also have a 327 sittin in my shop for around 15 years......My name is Tim,and im a HOARDER..........
Oh, don't worry, I had to talk myself through that with this one.
It helps to look in the mirror, see all those gray hairs, then look at the bank statement and see how many more years the cottage mortgage has to go............ That makes it easier to sell. I can give you a bunch more similar tips as well...

Looks like its coming along on a fast pace. That block looks nice and clean. Next time your there could you ask him if he has the equipment to clean up rusty blocks. I think they use a shot blasting cabinet and the cost. i got a block that was hot tanked years ago but got all rusty over the years.
