RE: 14" tires for 66 Grande Parisienne

Weld a ring around the inside of the rim where the cap latches to make the ID smaller maybe?

Nope, I just went and tried it. The valve stem oval hole in the cover would have to be hogged out and there is also 1/2" of rim showing around the outside of the cover, looks a bit off.

So I find a great deal online for the Firehawks, in the US. They don't sell to me even though I have a US shipping address, a parcel depot 1/2 hour south of here in North Dakota. My credit card is a Canadian Address and they won't take it....

The salesman suggested I can buy a prepaid Mastercard or Visa with a US address, so I guess I'll check that out on Monday. New one for me!

Tried local, the price, (through my work) is $53 PER TIRE higher in Canada!

These guys don't sell on ebay, I tried that angle too I'm afraid! As long as I can somehow get a US card address, I can order online, shipped to ND.

This guy said some people have done the US address with the prepaid card so I have to give it a shot.

I have a couple of US friends but that's my backup plan. I want to be able to get it to work a different way if possible.

Carl, just to give another vendor with the sort of tire you want is Lucas Tire out of California and also Ohio.

Check this link for the list of appropriate tires, based on your wish list: http://www.lucasclassictires.com/RADIALS031811_1749.htm

I use my U.S. address on the computer & E-Bay and my credit card and pay Pal have my Cdn address

I Never have a problem....

My friend Andrew got a set of 6.0L Ford Diesel head bolts out of Califonia and got them shipped overnight   I was there when he ordered them and there when they arrived

He tried to order a set out of Ohio and fellow won't ship to Canada (we're bad) and would not overnight them.. confuse

I would suggest you buy U.S. and go get them

Canadian retailers are still 5 years behind..
