Driveshaft Univeral joint question. 67 big car.

When I removed my driveshaft form the Differentioal yoke, I pried forward to release the two bearing caps from the yoke. Unfortunately one came off the UJ and landed on the ground spilling out most of the rollers. I managed to collect them all up...I think.

Question, will this UJ still be good if I clean and repack, or should it just be replaced? If it needs replacing, does it need to go to a shop to be pressed out and in with the new?

A ball joint press that you can borrow from many parts shops including crappy tire will do the job. Cleaned and rebuilt it'll probably be fine ... but for the price, I really can't see leaving an old joint in while the shaft is out.

Ujoints are cheap. AC Delco has a good joint and it's a good price. I can get you the number if you like. I am thinking it's inside snap rings on that one?

If so, 89029290. I can't recall the number off the top of my head for the outside snap ring design.
