Restoring a 60's vintage GM 6 way power seat unit.

Awesome Denis, wow, and thanks Carl.

Glad I could help in some small way Denis!

I do think the full size GM 6 way drive 59-76 was a great and robust system. And its funny how much the systems today share a similar look.

Now show us some photographic evidence before Carl bans you already!

Kidding.

I'm already crazy but ... x2 on Mark's build threads, I always enjoy them!

Hey cdnpont thanks for this awesome post. Its been a pleasure watching you take this journey. Wondering if you knew where I could pick a unit like this up myself without ordering online from the states. I'm from Toronto.

Great thread! I've noticed over the years that the power bench seats (2, 4 or 6 way) generally work really well with a little cleaning. The tough ones are the bucket seat units. Their weakness is that they only drive one side, with the inboard track sliding without power. Even when new they tended to crab and with dried grease and wear of the sliders they all bind up and shake.
