My seats are minty but I hate the colour, which doesn't match the rest of the interior. The interior is black except for green seats. It has been suggested that I paint the seats. Has anybody used fabric paint? What was your experience?
The material can go hard, flakey and dont sit in it if they get wet, however if done correctly will be ok. My sons bucket seats were black and red now green. Some vinyl has cracked. It seem to look alright, now show quality. But hey its is first car.By the looks of your avatar. It looks really nice. SEM vinyl paint. Crappy Tire sells black fabric paint.
have not had much experience with fabric dye, but vinyl dye works fantastic, be sure to use SEM products, but dont get it custom mixed, they now have to use a waterborne formula that is crappy. Just go with the standard colors that are in the ready made spray cans. black is an easy one. Be sure to prep it good, clean the hell out of it. Wipe it all down with a good solvent so it stick good, you will be happy with the vinyl dye

MY BEAUMONT HAS 4 STUDDED TIRES AND 2 BLOCKHEATERS......AND LOTS OF OIL UNDERNEATH. The other one has a longer roof.
I HAD GOOD RESULTS WITH SEM VINYL DYE ON THE REAR SEAT IN MY '66 BISCAYNE. THE SEAT WAS VINYL AND FABRIC. IT TOOK A COUPLE EXTRA COATS ON THE FABRIC SECTIONS, BUT TURNED OUT GOOD. THE FABRIC DID STIFFEN UP THOUGH.
