Finally got a Strato Bench!

Thanks to Kevin (70 SS Acadian), I now own a genuine 6 way power 67 Strato Bench! It will be some work to restore, and probably cost stupid money, but It will be a great project for next winter.

I'll document everything.

The seat, although completely dry rotted (most of the foam actually blew out on the QEW at 130 kph), is in unreal condition as far as the frame, springs, power equipment,

and it has the METAL seat backs and side panels.

The power tracks and cables appear to be in amazing condition. The track covers are pretty much intact as well (rare).  It even came with blue deluxe seat belts!

So I get it home and my daughter offers to help unload it, and up in the trailer lay a few artifacts that had fallen out. We brought it down to the ground, and she being the curious type, began to poke away...

Low and behold, she got all this...

I guess it really was from a Vegas car!

Thanks again for the tour of your beautiful place and amazing shop Kevin.

Cheers, Mark

Cool! Being from Vegas would explain the condition of the upholstery. I look forward to the restoration!

And here we thought Kevin's sole purpose on Canadian Poncho was to stir up trouble........

Good for you Kevin, and we'll be awaiting another excellent "how to" thread Mark!

I still plan to pick up that power Strato in the 4 door Pontiac if I ever get back there!

Holy Cow, that's a lot of stuff to be in the seat.   Great score on both the seat and the trinkets!!!

Looks like a carburetor choke thermostat thingy from off the intake manifold.... or a fancy latch off Granpa Joe's gate. Congrats on your purchase I'm jealous!

LOOKING FOR A 67 STRATO FRONT BENCH SEAT IF ANYONE CAN HELP
