Substitute frame for 65 laurentian 4 dr

Hello all

I have never been on a forum before so please pardon any ignorance on my behalf

I have a 1965 Pontiac Laurentian four-door whose body is excellent but the frame is yuck

Does anyone know if there is something a little more modern that I can substitute the frame of?

Thank you

phil

A southern (U.S.A.) 65 Chevrolet frame should work

I would say any 65 or 66 Canadian Pontiac or Chev frame would work except convertibles and probably wagons. (Not too sure on that)  However the idea of doing a frame off on a 65 Laurention 4 door must mean you love that particular car a lot!

65 66 only wagon are longer in the rear and rags will fit but the frame is wider

Thx for your suggestions.

I do not love the car, but thought it might be fun to try a frame swap since I have never done that before.

I am now having serious second thoughts. It seems to be far more trouble than it's going to be worth

I think that I am now heavily leaning towards parting it out.

I would like to thank all for the many suggestions.

And if you need parts, let me know the body is in excellent condition. It has a straight six and powerglide.

YEP!! Good idea to part it out. More Door [4dr. sedan] wouldn't be worth the effort, as they don't bring any $$ to start with, just not a desirable car!!!

Welcome Phil!

To get a "new" frame would probably not be cost effective in your case (around $500.00ish + transport).

Do you have any pictures to share of your car?
