Well after a little over 2200 miles with some zig zagging I drove through Pierce and spent a couple hours there before heading to my hotel out of town. It is actually pretty cool as there is almost like a carnival atmosphere. People come up to you with a silly grin and nobody really knows what to expect from the whole sale. I got a chance to brush up on some of my Beaumont trivia as it seems wherever I stopped there would be some people around the car when I came back. Started out as fun when I accidentally found the old dealership and pulled into a shady parking spot not too far away. It was 90 degrees when I got there and when I got out of the car there was 2 guys filming the front of the old building. When they had finished up I asked them where the auction site was and after telling me they asked where I had driven from. They were surprised and then asked if they could do an interview for their Brazilian auto show. So we converted the mileage to kilometers and answered a few questions why I would be attending the sale. Was fun and they claim to have the largest TV audience in Brazil. The one guy doing the interview had seen a Beaumont down there. It was also funny as you see all the people getting in on the sale as you travel towards Pierce. Starting probably 50 miles away anything old that could be for sale is set out by the road; boats, tractors, and cars and trucks. And then when you get into the town and head along the streets and down the road towards the sale site there are vehicles in every space there is. Like I said it is almost like a carnival atmosphere. Only took a couple pictures today but will try snap a few tomorrow.

Well, I'm officially jealous. I just wasn't able to make it, due to work. Take lots of photos, and I can;t wait to hear all about it. We'll have to do an Okanagan coffee evening when our high flying friend returns in October!
I tell you, I think it's safe to say you and Ken have made most of us on CP jealous. Livin' the dream.
I sure hope you get time to stop and see my buddy after you leave there. I forgot to tell you he has a 67 Beaumont that was sold new just a bit east of here. Bench seat Custom, 327 4 speed. You won't see many other Beaumonts the next week or so!

My God I didn't think there was 2 of those, my original 67 Beaumont was a bench seat custom 327 4 speed white with a blue interior but it was sold in Debden SK, so west of you. And yes it's cool that Jerel & Ken can live the dream, Good on them, enjoy and pics please.
Cool pictures already! Enjoy Jerel and say hi to Jay for me!

I heard that there was over 100,000 People there today. That's crazy.
I had heard 40,000 but it is surprising how everyone sort of spreads out and people are very patient and you just wait your turn around the more desired cars.
History channel is here and has been filming quite alot and supposedly some is being broadcast in the next couple of days.
