I met a person today who had never tried Maple Syrup AND didn't know it came from Maple trees. When I told him how it was made he didn't believe me. He Googled it and found a Youtube video and was dumbfounded. This guy is my age. Couldn't believe it....

I ordered a trunk centre patch panel for my GP 3 times from a local distributor before they finally got it.

I ordered a gas tank twice from the same store, never got it, no excuse given, I gave up, bought it somewhere else.

Today I ordered a 40 dollar body mount brace from the same place.

Think I'll ever get it?

Am I stupid to keep giving them a chance?

Just "brace" yourself for the letdown.

I'm in no hurry for it so figured I'd give it a shot. I needed a laugh today, so thought "why not"?

Are there still any phone booths around your area?

Ford and GM have signed an agreement where they will jointly develop advanced technology 9- and 10-speed automatic transmissions for cars, crossovers, SUVs and trucks.

Holkd on to be derailed...

I was told that I needed nitrogen for the new snow tires on my daughter's car. I asked why I needed nitrogen (at $4 a tire). I was told that nitrogen maintains pressure better than air and has a higher molecular weight so it is less likely to leak.
So ... Air, which is roughly 80% nitrogen and 20% oxygen somehow loses pressure? Both nitrogen and oxygen are diatomic molecules and they behave very similarly under pressure. At the pressure of a typical tire, there is no appreciable difference. As for the higher molecular weight, nitrogen has a molecular weight of 28. Oxygen has a molecular weight of 32. The molecular weight of air is about 29. See, the heavier oxygen molecules actually increase the molecular weight. If higher molecular weight was really a benefit (which theoretically, it actually is), then air should out-perform nitrogen. Even better, use CO2. It has a molecular weight of 44. Although using all that CO2 would likely cause so much global warming your tires would explode from the heat. (kidding).

The only benefit I see is that oxygen is much more reactive and might contribute to degradation of the rubber. We just need to use nitrogen inside, then eliminate all that nasty oxygen in the air on the outside of the tire and our tires would last forever. Except for the UV damage from the sun - to really make a difference, I guess we'd have to eliminate that big fireball in the sky. Wonder what the tire shop would charge for that?

I used to "have to" Upsell to Nitrogen   even with used tires    What a waste of time    It is good for tires that sit a lot like on a lawn mower or golf cart   Your tires will be wore out long before they degrade

Go to page 6 at the link to see what Goodyear says about Nitrogen inflation for their truck tires.

http://www.goodyear.ca/truck/pdf/radialretserv/Retread_S5_V.pdf

Simply put, it's a scam as it has little to no advantage for almost all tire applications.  May as well take the money you would have spent on Nitrogen and donate it to a worthy charity, it'll do much more good their rather than padding the dealers' profit margin.

I think the poor tire sellers got sold on the equipment thinking that the demand would be there.
Long story short,
I bought a 2012 on December 29th,2012.
There was an optional $345 tire security package.
I said "No"
Sales man, "but the nitrogen is already in the tire !"
I said, "Take it out !"
He said, "We don't have the equipment to do that"confuse
It was delivered with the funny coloured valve caps still on.
I did not bother to ask.
