Two inches of snow yesterday here in victoria, you'd think there was a national disaster.Would have taken a picture but the grass was higher than the snow.Had some bus roots cancelled and took over hr to get to work usually take 40 min.Maybe some of you guys from the east should come out and give driving lesons.

Had a great time last evening, not so much snow, but about -10 with windchill atop that.
Caravan Farm Theater, about a half hr drive north of us, start with a live stage presentation, act one (kid orriented seasonal musical play) seen from bleachers, then onto the sleighs and off through the woods, cross fields and onto 5 more stages, stay in the sleghs until the final act at stage 6 in the huge post and beam barn they've built for the horses, Clydsdales.
(not allowed to take pictures during performances or while the horses are pulling, flash could startle them so these shots are before we started off. what I missed was the three abreast team (troika I thing you call it), of the Norweigian Fiord horses and a dual of same, they look about half the size of the Clydes.

wife has been in the ride lanes a number of times. I`m yet to see one this year.
I was in Madrid, Spain earlier this year & took a cab from the airport to the hotel after arriving after midnight. There was a roadblock and I was surprised that the cabbie had to blow the breathalyzer. I'd have been pretty annoyed if he'd failed!
So Johnnee, driving the cab wasn't a sure fire solution. Besides, the cabbie probably just drove your car all night in exchange.
Long story, but I tried to drive a TTC street car home once.
