Thanks Doug, if you ever get out here you can take her for a test spin. Just have to replace tires and bring Beer!. Finished up my intake cover today used a door jamb switch on the rad support to turn on the LED, switch will need some fine tuning once the front end is lined up. Sure like the way it hides all the uglies of the truck intake.
Thanks Rog and by the way hope you bought your carter fuel pump! They are now defunct from our suppliers in Victoria, everyone is looking for a compatible one. Got my new shifter indicator today from my bud that works at a sign shop. Repainted the base plate and now can bolt back into place. They did nice job on the bull nose to match the base plate.

Picked up a drive shaft from the wreckers, will get adapter u joints so it will fit yoke and diff. My bud Terry is coming over tomorrow night to program the ECM. Friday going on car trailer to brother in laws shop to hopefully flash up! Would be nice after 7 months to have it running when the guys show up Sunday. Nothing like added incentive!!! Yard might be a mess, but the car will run.
Just a tease, don't want to spoil it for the boys on sunday! Just need to put the drive shaft in and she's coming home. Must be pumped.......it's 2 am and I'm posting vids!!
Sounds great buddy You will be slamming them gears in no time.

Thanks Guys!! It was a good feeling after all that work! No slamming gears.....it's an auto but my wife can drive it. Thanks for the kind words Mark, can't wait for your builds! Bit of a bump today. My brand new rad leaks ( not where I got it welded ) and 1 caliper is NFG, so had to drive with E-brake! On a good note, my son spent the day at my brother in laws shop with me trying to get the brakes to work and the drive shaft put in. Think he learnt a lot about how things work and a couple of new words when they don't.

Does stumble a bit with that huge cam, don't think the O2 sensors like open headers. Got my brakes figured out. Don't know if this matters but the new caliper I got had a recess for the copper washer and the other didn't. Couldn't get the first one to seal no matter what I did, ended up tearing the threads out of it from over tightening. Remand parts!
That will teach you to be more gentle on them bolts?

Picked up my exhaust kit today, looks like it might need some fab work. Could have run pipes straight back to the mufflers but it looked a bit odd so I went up the road to look at my buddy's system. He came down in his 64 Invader that he bought the same month as I bought my 57 thirty years ago and agreed that my pipes looked cheesy running straight. So this is what we came up with. (still need to make tailpipes). Will H pipe it or tag the 2 together depending on sound.
