RE: 66 Grande Parisienne Strato Bench

Not much to update yet. I wanted to work on the car today but we want to get a dog so I started building a doghouse.

I did find time to get the seat back in the car and move it around to a comfortable position. I needed to know if the shifter was going to clear it.

This is 4th gear. Should be fine. If I was short, the shifter handle would need a tweak.

Thread derail ...wink

Just a question; are you going to be able to fit in it?

Glad there isn't a "blue oval" above the door on this house, it's too nice. Love the mud flap!

Carl S., What kind of dog are you getting?

The other Carl, we live in our cat's house ... he lets us.

I'm finished derailing ... it's better left to Jean.

I'll derail even further

got any more of those GM maple leaf mudflaps?? i'd love a nice pair for dads truck,  his has the GM factory 1991's,  but they dont have a maple leaf.

P.S.  just finished the mods on my stratobench, it is now a 4 way power and fit perfect in the chevelle wagon.

I can check. I think I have two more but I don't think they match. GM changed them and the logo size dropped a lot. The one on the doghouse is the later version.

Hmmm, maybe I have a matching pair of small logo flaps. When we get the dog he won't likely care which logo is there.

Are you going to post up some shots of the Strato in the wagon?

Now, the question is, since it's a Pontiac Strato in a Chevy car, is it a Strato Back bench or a Strato bench???!!! (Since they each have their own name for it.)

Cool,  im not fussy,  just always liked the look of the mapleleaf, just seems more appropriate on a canadian built truck

It pontiac for now,  but if i decide to recover, i'll go with a chevy pattern.

On the lookout for some black seat skins for it,  i can modify 2 buckets if needed.  just need to be black and for strato style backrests.
