69 Beaumont - Breaking In Fresh 396

I am doing a frame off resto on my vert...I now have a fresh 396 sitting in the car that requires start up an break in.  I have run new engine and forward lamp wiring harnesses.  Need to know if the following plan will work.  Have engine harness hooked up to starter/distributor, have forward lamp harness hooked up to alternator and junction block (to feed power back to the dash harness)...ready to bring power to starter and junction block from battery...there is no interior the car at the moment...If I were to lay the steering column in the car and hook up the dash harness and then hook up the ignition side of the harnes to the steering column, would the circut be complete to use the ignition key for start up.

Any ideas would be great!!!

Thanks,

Mike

grab yourself a big fan to blow air across the rad and engine .. makes lots of heat when your breaking the cam in .. you want things to go smooth !

keep us posted !

Thanks Roger...I will make sure everything is grounded, and I'm pretty sure the red power feed that goes from the junction box back to the dash fuse block goes through the horn relay (which I need to find LOL)...I'm no electrician, but it looks obvious
