Will these rear shocks be ok for my 66 grande parisienne?

Hi guys, I bought these shocks new about 2 years ago when I got my car.

I just took the old ones off, and they are much longer than my new Munroes.

I made two plates that I can weld to the bottom section of the frame where the old ones bolted to and will bolt these. Is this OK for my car? Or must I get a longer shock?

When I replaced a rear set, they were shorter than originals and the only issue noted was taking the rear wheels off as the axle didn't drop enough. It could be done, just a bit tricky maneuvering the wheel in place, but also have 15" x 8" wheels.

Are those old Monroe air shocks the right ones?   They may not have been correct, and you're using them as a guide.

This is what I bought suggested from the community a year back give or take, but they do not line up. So I will be getting a different set if required ;)

seventy2plus2: I will bring them into my parts store and see what they say about the old shocks.

1965SCS: thanks for the explanation. noted.
