It drives pretty good but there's always room for improvement.
When I bought it, (16 or so years ago) It was pretty well a gutted race car. It was red, Hard plastic racing bucket seats in the front and no back seat.
A big motor and stock suspention. No front sway bar and manual drum brakes. (It drove like a sail boat)
I've made tons of upgrades over the years and I've spun every bolt on the car at some point or another.
But now I'm finally at the point in my life where I have a nice heated shop in my back yard, money and the motivation to do it all over.
It's getting a resto mod do over with a touch of pro touring.
Lots of parts in my garage, Lots on order and I'm diving in head first.
It's getting stripped, a new frame, a bunch of new sheet metal and piles of goodies.
Cool, i did notice that you say a 1964 chevelle frame. Just letting you know that not all 1964 chevelle frames have the notch for the BigBlock starter clearance. I dont know if that will affect anything? I personally have not had any experience with this, but i have heard of it.
Good luck with the project, should be interesting.

Hmmm, Interesting. I've never heard of that. I'll climb under my car tonight and compare.
The starter I'm using will be tiny compared to a stock BBC starter though.
Although I haven't completely rulled out swapping in an LSX with twin turbos.
The interior is getting some love... New seats, headliner and sun visors for sure anyway.
My current seat options have been narrowed down to TMI , Procar Elites or Rally's. (Currently leaning towards the Procar Elites but Those big Gromets in the TMI seats just look too cool.)
Looks like a cool project. Love the pro touring idea. Just a warning about the 64 frame, the very rear section where the bumper attaches may be shaped different than 67 and the rear spring pockets may be different. I had to use the 66 springs.
Awesome, will be following your progress! They are some grey protour chevelles out there that look just awesome...I think most are running larger than 17s...

Dave you need to post some pictures of the Non Notched frame and a Notched frame. Always learning some thing new
Looking forward to the progress, I have an HPI kit sitting on the floor of my garage and it will be going into my 66 SD soon, frame up and resto mod pro tour too, stock sucks.
