Help with front spindle seal/gasket

Ok so what started out as front brakes on my 65 Parisienne has turned into bearings, seals etc.

The problem I have is the seal and or gasket that should be at the front backing plate and spindle were badly worn.

Any help identifying/finding these parts would be appreciated.

The pic is of what I should have but dont any longer.6C2D01DF-9883-4CB0-A353-4EDAFB1B8FA0.jpeg

Thanks, Ron

There should just be a seal that presses into the back of the hub once you've packed the inner bearing with grease.

Ok thanks.
It looked like a gasket behind the backing plate when I removed it.

Ye, they do have one but I can't imagine why. It really doesn't do anything. The seal is what keeps the grease in the bearing and the contaminants out of it.

On the 69-70 disc brake set-ups there is a gasket between the backing plate and the spindle. I looked all over for them, then found Corvettes use the same gasket, so sourced a pair from the local Corvette place. I can get you the part # later tonight.

Corvette America part # 33369. "63-82 Front Brake Splash Shield Gaskets". They were about $10 for a pair at Western Corvette in Calgary.

Get some gasket material from Carquest. Cut your own out, that an easy one to do.
