For cleaning bolts, I put them in a vice, and use a wire wheel on my drill - it works amazingly well. Then just put a skin coat of grease on them.

I usually do that but thre was around 100 in there plus some bracketry. Saved myself some time.

So fitted a doorcard. Using impala interior as when I bought them years ago there was no pontiac interior kits available. Stll looks better than the aussie parisienne version.

Bought this cheap rechargable screw driver at the hardware store (bunnings). Came with this cutter head. Extremely handy. Cuts all sorts of stuff. Used it to trim in the underfelt and carpet.

You can buy them here in Canada in the small 'Geno' brand packages at the local parts stores.

Here's the Geno packets of the inserts:  The 3-14009 are a bit smaller than the 3-10365.

Thanks guys! Would be awesome to be a feature car! Only took me 11 years! Still a couple of things to do thoigh. The black roof is only temporary. I bought it locally really cheap. I was trying to get it done for my sons school formal. Wasnt planning for putting the roof on yet as I have a white roof with glass rear window to go on. We are in drought conditions here and havent had rain for too long. What happens, the night of the formal forecast rain so hurriedly put the roof on. Fell short, just needed another 1/2 day, it rained and didnt get to use it for the formal. Oh well.

Th last time the car was registered was 1979. Had the old rego sticker for proof of previous rego. Our state is easy to register cars. Had the roadworthy done and rebistered before seats and roof in and done, but as the guy said, these cars are easy as everything is always new!

more pics to come...oh, and then there is the flame job...

Thanks mate! The FI is running very well. The car has so much torque i havent actually given it anywhere near full throttle. Need bigger tyres I think. With the posi and 235 rear tyres, it wants to cut loose in the rear end.

I put it in for a dyno but had terrible overheating issues. Needed to get that fixed so I can finish it off and get HP and torque figures and fine tune it. Ended up a friend who owns a radiator shop made a custom radiator at mates rates. should handle 500hp easily so no overheating issues now! Still cost me $1250. But made with good aussie copper core. No useless chinese junk.

Thanks! Me and the kids have grins ear to ear! car was last registered 1979! It was my barn find you could say! It is just so awesome to drive. Completely different animal to a small block. Once I get some engine things fixed up will get a video happening. Presently have twin sports mufflers dumping underneath the car. the wife and kids tell me they can hear me quite a distance away when I leave my street and put the boot in!

bags of fun!

Hey all, havent checked in for a while! Been flat out like a lizard drinking with work, karate and sons high school graduation stufff! Got a chance to get back in the shed and fitted the spinners to my centre caps. GTO spinners apparently? Anyways, hardest part was getting the centre without a large lathe! Managed with some construction marking paint and a set of dividers. Came out ok I reckon!
