Watched it because it is Canadian. Buddy needs a haircut. I had long hair too, but c'mon.....grow up. It's your typical car show, drama and deadlines. Also, why is it on ALL these shows, the idiots have to do these circular burnouts?....It proves nothing and is stupid.
I'd bet.....the "rastafarian haircut"......is what got him the role.....
As silly as it looks...on an old white guy...it IS a trademark....
And as far as the name goes (Rust Valley)....it's NOT.....My 63.....spent the first 50+ years of it's life up there....and it's one of the cleanest ones i've seen.
Will be interesting to see the next episode.....When does it air?
Is it another one of these waste-of-time reality tv car shows, or is this one different? I've tried some of those other shows and I couldn't be bothered. I'm not just being negative but some of those shows.....man......do they think we are all idiots?
X 2 !!! and then some.

Totally agree Carl. I have yet to see any of these "reality" car shows that doesn't feature shameless shills for products. egotistical a-holes or testosterone overdosed boneheads. They give anybody in the actual realistic hobby the creeps and yes make us look like idiots.
X 2 !!! and then some.

I really disliked the show - Way too much goofiness and loudmouth for me. Do a restoration on a 66 Lincoln for $15K? I think he lost a bit of money on that one. Finally get around to vacuuming out the Nova the morning of the swap meet? Not a lot of planning there. Not sure if a Duster is a 70 or 71? I hope the buyer can figure it out when he goes to register it.
To me, the best car show on TV is Chasing Classic Cars. No drama, no loudmouth, no goofiness.
Second best was likely the old Dream Car Garage, I really enjoyed it. It was better than it's follow up Legendary Motor Cars, which was also good, but had a bit of drama - usually revolving around Peter's son.

All the "reality" car shows are .....are blatantly unbelievable.....some worse than others....
I find Phantom Works....to be a bit more REAL...than most....and for cool customs...Bitch'n Rides....has built a few real knockouts......They did a semi-custom 59 Buick a few years back.....that was a VERY cool car...and I really don't like Buicks.......

Nah... none of them are 'real', not even close. It's just entertainment. But at least it's entertainment about cars...
Just finished watching the beaumont episode. Pretty much speachless, show is just wrong on so many levels, staged is an understatement.
My favorite part of the beaumont build the dome light is installed backwards. And that my friends is just the tip of the iceberg in restoration errors.
Reality check: Anyone know the drag race history behind that car? and, is the finished car the same one they started with?

MY BEAUMONT HAS 4 STUDDED TIRES AND 2 BLOCKHEATERS......AND LOTS OF OIL UNDERNEATH. The other one has a longer roof.
My favorite was/is Stacey David's Gearz. No drama and fantastic builds. That guy has talent!
Stacey never needed a bump hat when working under cars with his helmet hair.
I think Dave Kindig has the most talented car customizing staff on TV easily.

Another wacked-out episode in Rust Valley ... had me laughing a couple times. This show is not to be taken seriously ... on the same scale as another Canadian show, Last Stop Garage: https://www.discovery.ca/Shows/Last-Stop-Garage

I know there is a way to do an image search using Google ( Chrome)
I tried to find a static image of the drag car but haven't been able to do that
From what I recall from the show I think the car has a name or an owners name on it
Is it just me.....or are the American producers.....trying to make us Canadians....look like a bunch of dumb hillbilly hacks?
OK....it IS just mindless entertainment......but a restoration shop....without a hoist?
Maybe I missed it...but I saw a floor jack....and cheap jack stands....when they were removing the exhaust from the Buick.
Two flat decks....and a tow truck required to get a 3500 lb car out of the wet grass?....Really...
And the scene where the co-star kills his flat deck...fording the flooded road?.....
Anybody...with half a brain knows to drive SLOWLY through standing water...especially some one who supposedly lives in an area...where flooding is common...
Nice to see some girls in the show.....The driving lesson scenes....were prolly the most real looking scenes...in the show........
the guy is steve hammer business man in salmon arm in the 80s they were called the salmon arm quarter milers so that part is true i live here and i see some of the footage is kamloops but much of it correct they try to hide the summer wild fire smoke we get every year the beaumont can't be the drag car because if it took a 1000 hours to build at 40 hours a week thats 25 weeks over 6 months the show would have more footage than what they showed.at least he got the numbers right and said how rare beaumonts are but like i said we have more beaumonts here than anywhere else . i think in the spring i will show him a true 67 beaumont sport deluxe with 46000 original miles.

They have a hoist.

I heard the guy who plays Avery is really Ron Jeremy, a well known movie actor.
Thanks Randy
No, he's not Ron Jeremy the porn star.

Every car "reality" car show on TV has their builds/restos in the same vein ... quick time. There is a lot of "stuff" going on behind the scenes that is cut or not filmed, the final edit doesn't show, and the viewers ultimately don't see.

The show is just that... its a show, It's about car restoration so that's cool. Without the TV show they would not have the resources to put those cars back on the road. So it went from hoarder.... to cars being rebuilt by the community for our entertainment, and its Canadian. Those cars will be fixed and sold. I hope the show goes several seasons and he gets all of those cars back into the hands of car guys, or makes new ones. His collection is getting parted outthats the main thing, Plus the Ron Jeremy thing is funny. A Canadian Chumlee.
