Ugly, and it's embarrassing how much GM steals from Ford. Check out the Chevrolet lettering, looks a lot like the Ford Raptor front end treatment. The rest is just terrible...
That is one butt-ugly truck and a massive chunk of plastic. I can't imagine what even a low speed head on impact would cost. No wonder insurance rates are through the roof.
Between this truck and GM's decision to shut down tha Oshawa plant, I seriously question the subject line for this thread...
People are getting buried in debt buying these things. I saw it every day at the dealership. "Joe" comes in with his 2 year old truck for an oil change. Sales manager see's him and says "Why don't get get you into a new one?". Joe says "Can you keep my payment at $350 bi-weekly? "Sure can!" says the manager. So they roll the amount owing on the old truck (which was financed over 84 months) into the new truck and write him up for another 84 months. Many customers have no clue what the amortization is on the loan or the total cost of borrowing. Customer ends up so top heavy in the new truck he'll never get out from under it. Sad thing is out here the trucks are pretty much dust in 5 years and the owner still has two years worth of payments left. Many owners couldn't even afford the oil changes as they were buried in payments. But it sure looks good to the Jones' who live next door!
Why are people soooooooooooooo DUMB.

It was ugly when this ford front end came out on the f250, still ugly.
TheAztec was the first crossover, way ahead of me its ugly time.

As mentioned the Aztec was actually ahead of it's time;
Frankly, to me, it has aged well.
Compared to that truck, it looks fine.

Yes, it appears the Aztek designer still works at GM
Todd, i remember hearing back then that the woman that designed the Aztec was fired. For many years the Aztec was the most ridiculed car ever designed and always on various lists of the most ugly vehicle ever made. The hit TV series "Breaking Bad" gave that misfit car another lease on life.

It would be a different world out there if more people really understood basic Time Value of Money calculations. It seems that many people gauge their success solely on whether they have anything left after they make all their payments (including making the minimum payment on their credit cards). I've known too many people who, if they have $50 left over, will head out to the store to buy whatever they can that has a $50/month payment. It's their idea of 'forced savings'. This might actually be a good thing, if whatever they were buying didn't depreciate faster than their payments.
But, it's all just boring math. Besides, thousands of jobs & businesses exist only because there are people out there with that extra $50/month. It's a scary thought that a company the size of GM is one of those companies, but then again, they were one of those companies before they went broke the last time.
I know that we all have our biases and preferences. As a lifelong Ford owner and enthusiast, I would have to say that no Ford ever looked this ugly. 66Beau, you have made some interesting observations. I do empathize with the GM workers but definitely do not believe that GM got the message the last time they got bailed out. GM needs to learn the lesson other manufacturers learned decades ago. GM needs to stop making redundant models which, other than the nameplates and a few cosmetic touches, are really all the same vehicles. It is interesting that some GM lovers would buy a Buick but not an Olds, a Chev but not a Pontiac, a GMC but not a Chev. I know the same was true for Ford. Some would purchase a Mercury but not a Ford or vice versa. I do agree that the prices of new vehicles are absurd yet people continue to buy them.
