Thank you MC for taking the time to find that great info
You're more than welcome. I use that site all the time for reference.
Brochures are not always 100% accurate, as the company could change things on the cars after the brochures were printed, but generally they give you a good idea of what was available and what wasn't.
cdnpont So would I lol its so darn cold here although I'd love to go get the trailier and pick it up its going to have to stay warm instorage till warm up..would like to go and take some more pics and see the cowl tag and motor numbers also its only 1hr away the storage bldg also has other peoples cars ect in it so the owner would have to meet me and ect.ect was very hard seeing it the once and have him pull it out in the sun so its going to have to wait Yes Cant wait...Was also thinking being a Sask car all its life rust frame ect maybe not bad ..MC yes cant believe a site would post the 307;;427 thing and not know better always get the facts here
Bill. Seen the FB post. Bare minimum for your car is a 350. The engine options, I may stand corrected, 250hp 350 2bbl, 300hp 350 4bbl, 265hp 396 2bbl, 335hp 427 and 390hp 427 both 4bbl. Dual exhaust was an option on all engines except for the 390hp.
Actually you couldn't order duals on the 350 2bbl (250 horse) for some reason. As mentioned here Duals were standard on the 390 horse. Optional on the 300, 265 and 335 horse engines.
Here are some close-ups that might help you find the correct looking emblems and louvers. The louvers are actually painted two colors from the factory, the outer edge below the lip is bodycolor and the inner part is chassis black to make it look like a real opening exists. btw, all these emblems are in their factory punched holes so you can use the pics to locate emblems also.

a few more emblems. all are the original factory installed emblems (I got lucky, they are all nice except one of the fender emblems is broken where the bar meets the number 2, fortunately a bit of glue from behind hides it well.
Wow NORTH Thank you that will sure help once I find some emblems and louvers...I really am praying they are hidding in the trunk or glove compartment wouldn;t that be something are those side marker lights only on 2+2 ?? and is that painted white strips or pinstripe type stuff awsome looking car by the way

The one 2+2 emblem I have looks like a trunk as the + is not elongated.even though it has 3 pins will work .I did notice that it has the 350V emblems I 'll have to see the shape they are in as I was hoping big block car when I first saw it lol really thankfull for all the help guys saw 350 big parisenne convert and at the time passed on it...felt bad for my buddy and reconsidered 6 months later glad I did and for the right reasons
oh I more thing lol I looked a web site and they showed a pic of a 69 2+2 inside trunk and I didn't see any access holes for mounting the trunk emblem isn't there a couple holes in the trunk for it?? Thanks so much again
its funny I held the one I have against the one pic above and its the same size and same + I can't take this any more going to see if its possible to go see it and take pics driving us all crazy lol
As far as the fender emblems go...the top one is a '67 reproduction I used on my car and the bottom one is off of North's car. The '67 repo fits in the factory holes...and for $60 a pair...you be the judge.
I do have a set of the louvers in nice shape with one having a broken stud. Asking ridiculous money, but it's not like there are a glut of them laying around and they are my back-up set - $1,000 USD. Here are some pictures:
Its funny how supply and demand go. It took awhile to sell a full pretty much NOS set of these on the site 4 years ago for $150. I think Roger originally had them and then 427Carl and I cant remember who bought them from me.
The Canadian trunk lid emblems have much thinner pins and they have a design that they are pressfit, no nuts needed. The Canadian trunklid is different in that area. The US cars have the inner and outer layers almost touching so the bonneville letters all go on with nuts.
My friend bought two repro US 2+2 fender emblems mentioned above and they are identical to the originals he had (his were badly pitted). For the trunk he used A repro US 2+2 emblem, forget the year but its the one on the hood, Youll have to cut the pins and glue it or ream out the factory holes in the trunklid. The one no one reproduces is the little Pontiac emblem that goes on the trunklid just below the 2+2.
As for the side marker lights. The lenses and housings interchange across the board on US and Canadian models but the bezels on the 2+2 are unique to only it and the Strato, all the other Canadian and all the US models have bezels that have a fitting to cap the long body-side moldings.
