Installing a fuel pressure regulator...

Hi fellas,

I'm running an Edelbrock 800cfm carb on the 396/402. I'm also running an Edelbrock Victor Jr high volume fuel pump. It supplies the carb with consistent 9psi. I'm just learning now (because I failed to read the Edelbrock manual) no ...that Edelbrock carbs require no more than 6.5psi.

Has anyone tried regulating their fuel pressure? If so... what did you use? Idealy... I'd like to conceal it as much as possible.

My 64 wagon has one tucked down just above the fuel pump, it's also running a Holley I have never touched it since acquiring the car, but it starts first crack even after sitting in storage.
