I always had believed any 67 Canadian Pontiac B body could be ordered with disc brakes. I thought someone on here had details on a 2+2 a while back, and maybe it was even a convertible?
The parts book lists a wheel cover for the disc brake cars but no picture of it. If it's like a 68 disc brake car, the wheel under that cover is actually a 15" rally wheel painted black and so was the spare wheel in the trunk. That was because they had no other wheel to clear the disc brakes until 1969 I think.

I had a 67 2+2 with discs as a parts car and it had the 15X5 rally wheels with the disc caps. I sold the car to 67 poncho and I think he still has it. Kept the wheels though. Those are the ones you mounted tires on for me last spring.
I had assumed you would have got the rallys with the disc option was there a non rally choice with discs in 67?

I have the parts list and correct, the 15" was available for all models with disc brakes but I find no mention of a part number for the wheel covers.
If any of you still have the rally or non-rally ones (if indeed available) and can take a picture I would appreciate it. My car's previous owner changed to 15" tires but the caps are not correct for 67.
You bet! For the rally wheels as soon as I can get to the car which is buried for the winter in my garage.
Suffice it to say they will look like regular rally wheels (although not much of an inset) with a quite skinny trim ring. The caps are the small early type and all four that I have state just "Disc Brakes" with no make identifier.
Unless you are a real stickler for originality that fullsize car would probably look better and handle better with a wider wheel. On my lighter and smaller 66 Beaumont I like the way they look, not too hot roddy.
I hope other guys have a unit that is easier to get to and can post here.
I think so Ken. For sure there was in 68, I had one way back when, about 1977. Pulled off the full wheel covers to find black bare rally rims.
I wonder if they were single piston calipers on that 68 Carl? I can't see any standard steel wheel ever fitting over a 4 piston caliper. Singles do not protrude past the hub to wheel mating surface.

Agreed, I don't think they ever made a 15"plain wheel to fit the 4 piston caliper. I think they were all black painted bare rallys if you didn't order the rally wheel option.

As I understand it, J52 could be ordered in 1967 on any full-size Pontiac model & body (except taxis for some reason). They were 4-piston fixed caliper design in 67/68 before switching to single-piston floating calipers for 69.
The 67's with disk brakes all came with Rally Wheels on Chevrolets. If Canadian Pontiacs did something different then it is news to me. With disc brakes the 15x5 size Rally Wheels was standard on all except the wagon, where 15x6 wheels were standard. 6" wide wheels were also optional where not already standard. In 1968 ALL full-size Canadian Pontiacs got 6" wide wheels (something to do with Wide Track marketing). It was 1968 that officially you could get disk brakes without Rally Wheels as standard, and that meant dog dish caps or a variety of optional wheel covers. In the U.S. the Pontiac in '67 with disk brakes had a 15" full wheel cover design with PMD in the center.

So by all rights you should be able to fit any 15" standard GM 60's steel wheel over a 4 piston 67-68 brake setup? I know this to be true of the single piston.
I always thought the Rally was mandatory with the 4 piston as it had a deep reverse cove center.

I think you are right: in 68 the period correct 15 inch rally wheel had to be used with the 4 piston calipers. Later wider wheels with more back spacing locked up on my 4 piston calipers. I have to use the original rally wheel (or later 15x7/8 wider rally wheels) with my 4 piston calipers on my 68 Impala.
