I am hoping someone has a speedometer cable out of a 64 Beaumont with a Powerglide and is able to measure the length of it. Our site member "Winnipeg" has asked me to see if I can order him a new one and I never trust the jobber catalogues. My experience with their applications has been that they might make something "close" but it can be as much as 10" off the original length when they insist it's the correct one.
Anyone?

After thinking about it, seems to me I ended up with a longer one when I replaced mine during build.
Memory does play tricks when older. Maybe Jerel can double check for u.
I will try to measure the ones in my 3 cars sometime today, tehy are all installed in the cars, but i can get a rough idea, and yes i would say that 8" longer would be easy to add slack under the car, just make a bigger curve out of the trans and along the floor, some cars still have a clip welded to the botom of teh floor pan to hold cable. but alot of cars are missing or it was never there.
Carl i would buy that ATP 63" thru you, just let me do the measurements first.

Yup, the one on my Beaumont is longer, my Chevelle is orginal still.
I just made a bigger loop out towards the frame and put on top of
the emergancy brake cable to hold up out of the way and
put a piece of rubber hose around the cable where it sits on the brake cable
so that it doesn't ware thru.
