recommendations for suppliers crate engines

Im in BC, any recommendations on companies that sell crate engines? I talked with CCE in Burnaby and they seemed good, but im sure you guys have been through the process of buying one or two. Love to hear your take on this.

Thanks

Woody

A few years ago the GM and Chev dealers had some pretty good deals on engines. The buddies I knew there have retired but the key is to know someone there.

Here's a link to the Chevrolet Performance Catalog. My version of the old Sears Christmas Wishbook.

I think if you find something you like, then call up the parts department of your favorite Chevrolet or GM dealer with the part number, and ask if they could bring one in, you might find someone who will be keen to work with you.

Brand new.  Factory warranty.  450 HP small block?  755 HP LT5 ?  Woo Hoo

I bought my ZZ4 350 from Murray Chevrolet here in Winnipeg. Got connected with the parts manager through a friend and got a great price on it. Dropped it in my Nova, dressed it and got it running on my own. That motor is in the Beaumont now. A friend that specializes in big blocks built me a 454. This time I had it broken in on a dyno and got a printout of the pulls they did. Pretty impressive result for a cast block, steel head, flat tappet cam build.

If I was to do another I would definitely have my friend build it.
