65 wagon disk brake install


finally installed the disk brakes on the old wagon. multiple steps involved, first I had to build the tools to press out bushings ,sand blast all the parts paint and refurbish then install every part076 (2).jpg080.jpg022 (2).jpg007 (3).jpg004 (5).jpg

Looks like you went with the 67 - 68 4 piston caliper swap.

Great upgrade.

Is that the 67-68 JL2 caliper or a C3 Vette? the carrier bracket certainly looks like C3.

And you know, the 4 piston caliper mounting brakets bolt right up to the rear-if it's a 12 bolt. Easy peasy swap.

if I lived on pavement maybe , but I have lots of gravel, already have two with rear disks that's enough, I was thinking larger drums though.

had to finish up on the brakes finally rears got a proportioning valve and a residual plus I had to reblead the fronts for some reason. the pedal is nice and firm now to work on her after the move so I can drive again001.jpg002.jpg
