If you look at the email address, it appears to be a real estate agent, so maybe they believe that old car prices are going the way of real estate? Up up and up.
Chevy engine fender emblems, not the correct 64 tach, no Pontiac V8 fender emblem, Hurst equipped emblem there instead. Im betting it was a 6 pg or 3 on the tree. Still a very nice car.

I remember this car [ I think] being up for sale as a 6 stick!! Then re appeared as a 409 car!! I'ts a CLONE!!! Future buyer better do homework or will get "stuck" with a HIGH DOLLAR FAKE!!! Won't be me!!!

I looked at a 64 Pontiac 2 door post near Windsor at least 15 years ago. I can't say it is the same car but it looked exactly like this one. It was a 6 cylinder, and I was interested in it as a potential 409 clone.
Whatever its origin, this car looks desirable now.

Would a "409" engine show up on the build plate? What other clues are there to a real 64 409 car?
Get the Vintage GM docs. The trim tag and vin tag would confirm a V8 or a 6 but not a 409.
Dual exhaust cars had 3/8 fuel line through the x frame tunnel, 409 would duals, but so is 327. The fuel line also travels under the passenger side upper control arm, the 409 has a shorter fan shroud front to back. Pretty much everything can be cloned, except the Vintage docs is the only real proof it was an original 409 but lots of things can say it is not an original 409.

I am certain this seller had listed a 283 for sale I. That car could be heard running before pulled for a while. I am 99% sure this is the car and its not a factory 409 car
