Motor mounts ??

I am swapping out a 283 and installing a 0.030 over 402 BBC in my 65 Parisienne. Would the optimum be factory rubber style or aftermarket poly? What parts have others used with success? It will be attached to the original PG (after a redo) or possibly a TH350 if finances allow.

I have a built 700R4 in my 502 powered 86 442 with a 3:73 gear. The trans and gearing is too harsh for a DAILY driver. Any of the other 4-speed auto options would require trans mount - crossmember - driveshaft changes. As stated if "finances allow".

I know some guys will bash me for this but I'd use only rubber mounts.

Hi.. I'd second Carl's choice, rubber motor mounts for the street. How about going to a 700R4? There are adapter cross members that would bolt up in the stock position for the tranny. Try Competition Performance (I think) in California. When all else fails...gogle it.

Hope that helps

2nd that for a cruiser. Polly suspension..polly mounts= rough ride. Rubber is a nice ride unless you want the pro tour handling? Gain on one end...lose on the other.... Just depends on what your going for..
