A different thread that a site member started about a Beaumont bronze interior has gotten badly derailed (and I am partly to blame!) so I thought it might be best to separate it.
The discussion focused on the specific mats put in Canadian GM products, that they just have a GM logo and not each brand's specific logo. Here's a scan of the page from the 1965 accessories catalogue for Canada.
Here's a GM Canada floor mat from about 1963 I think. It is Fawn. Neat logo on it. I have also seen a Turquoise set with the same logo in a survivor '65 Malibu, the contours are different and work with a fixed base gas pedal.
Carl, that 1965 GM Canada page from the Accessory Catalogue shows the GM logo on the mats. If that is what you have, you're Golden!
I'm still learning everyday...

I'll take a pair of 3391142's and 3391151's thanks. PM Sent.
But all kidding aside, for me, these would be the find of the century to top off my 65 interior. Interesting that it's the same mat through the 3 body styles.

Well, if you hadn't gone and put that stupid 4 speed in your car I could fix you up with a dark aqua coloured (GM dark turquoise I think?) one piece front mat.
1967 2dr Biscayne. L36, M40, G80, K05, F41. #'s. 1967 Impala convert. 283, glide. Parked in the garage since 74 and hasn't moved. Soon to be BB 4speed.
Here is a NOS set I have. 1966 part # I think it is?
Very interesting Andrew.
Those don't show up in the 1965 accessory catalogue.
However, when I look in the 1967 accessory catalogue, is has part numbers for a few previous years.
Your mats are listed there as fitting 1965-1966 Beaumont, Chevelle and full size Chev. They are NOT listed as fitting 1965-1966 Pontiac. I notice the 1967 accessory catalogue lists two shades of red for 1965 mats, but yet the page I showed in my opening post here only shows one shade of red for floor mats.

Another thing I'm curious about is if Darryl's documents have the mats as a factory order or if they are dealer accessory mats.
Nope, not listed.

Yep, I would think so. They came with the car and match the interior colour.

Ive had pretty good luck and results spray painting them with vinyl dye (example-black vinyl dye onto almost any color), or a similar shade color to bring back the original faded ones. holds up fairly well too.

Hmm, I might have to try that on mine. They have some staining.

Do you think I need 2 cans or is one enough?

If you get a sem color that's close. One can would do. Scrub them clean about 5 times then do it again 5 more times. Prep with an adhesion promoter might help. Rub down with acetone or thinner first even.

Piston Ring can't help me but NAPA has Dupli-Color medium blue and I think we will be in Winkler soon. I thought for cost I'll give it a try. I might experiment first on an old mat just to see the colour.
Thanks for the tip on cleaning.

It would take time to do it, but I'd even give them a light scrub with fine Scotch Brite on top of all the other suggestions. You need to have ZERO gloss on the plastic.
