Its funny you should ask!   We couldn't decide on country or rock so I'm playing two hours of good old country rock.  Lots of of the pioneers like the Byrds, CCR, Linda Ronstadt, Emmylou Harris etc.  I always loved that stuff as it was a great antidote to disco and got me through those wretched years.

Hey Carl,  just imagine a bush party in say, 1979 and some guy has his pickup backed up with the doors open and the eight track cranked.  The show tomorrow  is more or less what you might hear if the music was picked by some long haired wannabe hippie hillbilly disc jockey.  In other words country rock part two! Unlike when I actually would do that I will play all the songs all the way through and it's nice to know I don't have to worry about the 8 track barfing out tape! (Just Fred sabotaging the board!)

 

 I'll be on 6 O'clock Alberta Daylight saving time which would be 7 O'clock Central time if that helps!

Hi guys another new show with old music coming up!  This week i am doing a salute to Ken Nelson and George Martin.

These were two well known music producers who made sure the artists of the 50's and 60's didn't get too crazy.  Some really great stuff, both country and pop for two fully packed hours!

Should be a blast!

I realized this afternoon that we forgot to critique your show on Monday Ken!

At any rate, it was very interesting but because I'm not much for the Beatles I will confess you didn't always have my undivided attention.

Well Carl lets just say this show is about what an old husband might get up to when his wife is gone for a road trip. 

It may be quite a variety of odd things and music indeed.

Hopefully this might come in handy if you guys ever find yourself unsupervised.  Should be fun!
