Hey there. I'm also dismantling doors and rear walls to lube all window rollers and rails and faced one issue. One of the windows seems rubbing against the front rail on the rear panel. Tightening the top two nuts is moving the rail with the glass all together.
Does anyone know how I could move the glass away from that metal element? It only happens when the window is more open.
I'm not sure if I understand your statement exactly but are you aware that the top 2 nuts are on threaded studs that can be adjusted in and out, not just moved around in the horizontal/vertical slot? If you loosen the nut, you can change the length of the stud by putting a flat screwdriver in the exposed end of the stud and that should move the window in or out. It will pull the window in towards the inside of the car if you turn the stud clockwise, then tighten the nut to hold it in place.

The issue is - those studs and nuts regulate window rail distance from the panels, so the distance of the window to the rail is not changing. On the images it shows marks on the rubber and chrome from the rail.

Oh, seems my previous reply didn't go through.
The issue is fixed. I screwed all the belts in and out and aligned the window. The most influential were the bottom two. Also the window was too far to the back.
