Beaumont or Chevelle 283/327 motor mount recall 1964 to 1967

I am looking for a picture of the motor mount recall pieces either spread out on a bench or installed on the car for the following cars only. 1964 to 1967 Beaumont or Chevelle, 283 or 327 only. It must be all the stock stuff, stock manifolds, hardware etc.

I know other models had the recall as well but it's not the same stuff.

Thanks!

Maybe not! It seems odd that they wouldn't when the mount is the same "fail" part number as some of the other body styles. But man, if you've never seen one I bet they don't exist. You're not exactly new to Beaumonts and Chevelles!

I remember the cables on Camaros back in the 70s. On one I think I had to remove the engine bracket to get the front two spark plugs out. I wasnt impressed with the way it was done. I will do an Internet search and look for a picture. The Chevelle may have been the same kit as the exhaust manifolds are the same.

Well it was easy to find a Camaro kit on EBay.

Yes I saw those too earlier today when I was hunting but not a single hint of Chevelle ever using them. I can't figure out why.

Interesting. Carl I looked up 1967 Chevelle recalls and nothing about engine mounts. However for 1967 Camaro and full size Chevrolet there are recalls for engine mounts. It looks like the Chevelles werent recalled.

Weird eh? I found the same.

Even though it's the same part number mount as other vehicles the recall seems to have not applies.

I wonder if the gas pedal linkage wasnt affected on the Chevelles. Maybe the location of the pivot point on the firewall was different and the throttle didnt get pulled open or jam as in the other models.

0k on my B body cars when the mount broke it was when you left the light to the floor and when the engine went up it would pull on the tranny cable putting it in reverse.(2 spd glide) Did that happen on the chevelles too

I'm thinking the Chevelles must be immune to this problem, even though the mount is the same part number for them.
