Twice in wrecking yards. I saw one in a 65 Impala SS and one in a 67 Impala SS. Both cars were 3 on the tree. This was before digital camera days, so no pictures, sorry.

Primary Canadian Pontiac application would be 2+2 with standard equipment 3 peed on the tree transmission. Because the 2+2 came standard with buckets and a console but not a floor shift this console variation existed. I think similar situation with earlier SS full sized chevies.
In Hamilton I did see an amazing '64 Parisienne Custom Sport convertible that had a 283, a 3-speed column shift & a blanked console. The car was mint and in original black paint & top, with red interior. This was way back in 1979/80.
Around the same time there was also a '64 Impala SS coupe around Waterdown with the same drivetrain & console but was Diplomat Blue (Canadian name for Daytona Blue).

At a show and shine in Edmonton some years ago i saw a black 65 custom sport with column shift and non shifter console Very weird setup. According to the owner the lady who ordered it liked the look of the Custom Sport but only want a 6 with a three speed. Back then you got what you wanted.
