Auburn for the Positraction unit, U.S. Gear for the Ring & Pinion if you can't find a GM part. That is what I have heard.
The Auburn is rebuild-able, while others like the True Trac are not.

I know the parts books list different pieces for the real early 12 bolts. It seems to me that the 66 and up 12 bolts are all the same though. I'm talking car diffs, no idea about the truck 12 bolts.

this is an original 3 series GM that blew up. slit the spider gears and tore up the spring pack. The carier its self looks good. its where its better to replace the parts or buy a new complete unit
digging through the garage i found a total of 2 - 2 series and 3 - 3 series carrier posi. none of them would be worthy of just sticking in the way they are so a new one is on the way. I also have a few B body complete rears with posi in them but i will leave them together.
