I went under the 69 Rob, and it looks like the groove in the bracket is at least parallel to the bar. But I do see the bushing is offset in the bracket a wee bit. Seem a bit biased to the center of the car. And when I look at the C2 bushings, my brain sees that same bias. I've gone mad.
So I think the groove is at least the same between C2 and 65 B. Willing to try.
You almost have to think of the B Bracket as a diagonal strap across the bushing. They had no other way to do it with the appropriate strength required. Someone on the all new for 65 Impala project failed to communicate this to Budd, and now has some splainin to do.

Proof the 63-67 C2 front 7/8 bar bushing will work on the B Body. The bulge fits into the bracket groove perfectly. It's like it could be the same part with a different number between each car.

Does the 7/8" bushing fit the 15/16" bar ok though? That is the million dollar question. If so, I'm all in for new bushings on both cars!
