Is a 12-foot antenna wire long enough?

I need to replace the antenna wire that runs from behind the radio to the antenna located at the rear right fender. I found a great deal on a 12-foot wire and an approximate measurement seems like it might make it just just considering there are turns and bends as it goes under the carpeting, behind the rear bench, etc. Also, I had read somewhere that some originals were 15 feet long. Does anyone know?

My Grande Parisienne is on the hoist right now and I can't let it down but just from the rear antenna to the front of the door is 11' so there's no way 12' will do it and I'm even a bit skeptical that 15' would do it.

Thanks Carl. I don't have the car right now as it's undergoing a partial new paintjob but when I get it back I'll measure & calculate. I have seen some universal 15" and 16.5" which should do.

I bought a 17' cable and installed it with about 1½' to spare, in case anyone is ever in need to know with certainty.
