Remove all your inside trim and see what it looks like and also ask your installer why they need the glass out? Maybe to do the job best/easiest, they need to be able to tighten the roof liner through the glass openings.
A good buddy had his 63 impala SS done by a local very high quality installer, he wanted to do it with the glass out. Different car yes but there might be a logical reason?
