All I can add is a picture from a 1964 Oshawa-built Chevy II. The bowtie emblem is really a U.S. thing though, as they shared between divisions in Canada.

The Assembly Manual that you show is probably as accurate as you will find for positioning the attaching bracket.

Back in the 1980s I had a NOS 1965 rearview mirror, new in the box with an actual template. I traded it for other parts at Antique Chevrolet Parts back when they were in Oakville. I should have copied that template! I kick myself often for not doing it.

As you likely know the outside mirror was not standard equipment on a 65 Canso. A lot of them were dealer installed, presumably using the assembly manual locations/instructions etc.

If it helps any, this is a pic of the 65 SD I bought in 1986 from the original owner and she had the dealer install the mirror before she picked up her new car.

It looks like the dealer put on a Pontiac mirror. Hey, back then they'd probably offer several different styles, especially when they were not yet standard.

One piece of advice I can offer is when you are ready to mount it check that the vent window can fully open. Had a buddy make that mistake back in the 80's. Measure twice drill once.... Cheers, Steve

Thanks guys just wanted to clarify that its the point of the mirror to the edge of the vent window frame, not the bracket

if you look at the January 2023 feature car, that has a few pics.

If you need more measurements let me know and I can try to accommodate.
