Heres today trivia. Drive shaft finish. Painted (Is so black or silver?) blast and clear? I have also read about color markings on them. What to these signify and where do they go? 65 Canso sd. Thanks MH

65 Acadian Canso SD I am thinking of changing my 2sp powerglide to a 200R4. The interior is original and I dont want to change the 2sp console. does anyone know of reasons not too?

Can someone tell me what the purpose of the hole in this part just off the exhaust manifold is? Did it connect to something? 1965 Acadian 194. do I need it again if Im putting in new exhaust? Sorry for picture quality and orientation.

Does anyone have a good book showing the parts interchanges between a 153 4banger and a 230/283 I am mainly interested if the pistons are the same ones on a 153 as well as the con rods I know that 230 and 283 pistons intercahange with eachother but with a couple part # variations

Working on a vigin 30,000 mile 283 that has been sitting for 40 years but the lifters have seized in the bore. Have soaked with "Moovit" and tried to grab and spin with visegrips. Some will spin but not lift and some still wont move at all. Any tricks to getting them out or am I just going to have to keep worki...
