The Incredible hulk...
(Preview)
Visited the Incredible hulk last week and got to hear some great stories about it's history. Thanks MB. Not a pretty sight to be sure, just basically a tent without a floor with some shiny stainless sitting on top. But I'm glad I saw it, as it's soon to have a date with the crusher. 1 of what, 10? -- Edite...

Restored 69 Dash Photos
(Preview)
Thought you might like this one. Rally cluster, NOS dash, NOS aluminum trim, miles, and a new fabricated laser-cut heater control insert. The "Pontiac" thing in the shift indicator (this is a 4-spd car) is temporary until I can find the real deal...

New member, 1969 Pontiac 2+2 427 4-spd
(Preview)
Hi! My name is Dave Plummer, and some of you may know me from what is arguably the "original" 1969 Canadian B-body Pontiac site, http://MemTurbo.com/pontiac (at least a good deal of the content on other sites seems to have originated from my 10-year old site!) Anyhow, I have what is now a '...

Someone sent me this photo, but I've never talked to the owner. If anyone recognized the car, and knows who owns it, I'd love to chat/email with the owner! http://memturbo.com/pontiac/wpe24.jpg

Desperate need a couple of parts
(Preview)
As noted in my other post, I have a major restoration ongoing with a '69 2+2. While I did manage to locate and collect a ton of NOS parts over the years, there are a few thing that have eluded me. If anyone could help with these, I'd be infinitely appreciative! - The "Pontiac" dash insert for m...

Does anyone know Maurice Prud'homme?
(Preview)
A few years back I met Maurice through email when he was doing a frame-off on his 69 Laurentian in the Winnipeg area. He changed emails at some point and we lost touch, and I've never been able to locate him again. I'm sure if there's anyone that knows of him, they'd be here! - Dave

69 Trivia
(Preview)
It appears that 1969 was the first year that Pontiac offered the "Bonneville salt flats" 2.29 rear end ratio! I've owned a 2.56 geared 69 427 Grande Parisienne, but never had 2.29's. That must feel crazy! You would think it would almost go the speed limit in first gear at red line.............

Gas fumes
(Preview)
Does anyone else have the lingering smell of gas and half burnt fuel smell in their garage as I do with my 65. I figure this is do to the vented tank and cap that newer cars no longer have, but any suggestions as to what can be done to minimize it? -- Edited by 1965CS at 13:45, 2008-09-23

Is this a sign of a faulty regulator or alternator?
(Preview)
Both the alternator and regulator are new. My volt guage fluctuates wildly from 12-14.4 volt. Sometimes at idle it will sit at 12 and I have to rev the engine and it starts charging again. The needle will then bounce from 13-14.4. My headlights will flicker badly when this happens. There also seems to b...

I've been waiting a couple years to put my 455 in a machine shop to start on the rebuild. The 64 heads are done with all new valves.I found this set of virgin heads on Ebay that have never been put on a motor. The block is now 30 over. I'm going with TRW pistons and a Comp cam.
