For likely 30 years, I thought 67 Acadian and 67 2+2 shared the same front fender louver. Apparently they are only similar, not the same. Why would GM make something so close, yet different?
This is great site, stumbled upon this by pure accident. I do post on Steve's Nova Site(1Fasbu), and I do recognize a lot of usernames over here. It is nice to see a place dedicated to Canadian models, I tell you I am having one heck of a time finding info, parts for my car. Oh, and we have snow, lots of it. ...
What we have here is a 64 Canso, one of 606, sold new on Vancouver Island. It was originally a 6cyl/glide car, currently it has a th350/283. Right now there are pedals for a four speed installed and a hole cut in the floor. I received a four speed with the car, a sag, and this will go in with a 327/350hp. ...
For you pre 65 Acadian guys, there is a guy near here that seems to have a few of them. He is in Varney Ont, right on Hwy 6........His name is Dave...I have seen at least 3 in his yard and he drives a blue 2 dr sedan.

Here's a scan of dad, with my mom on a friends Pontiac. What year and model would it be? Dad says he thinks the picture was taken in 60' or so in Hamilton. And here's a rare shot of me with my 69' 2+2. 1978. My god, the car wasn't even ten years old! I thought it was really a bit of a bucket. Of course, being...
I've just started to look at insurance for the Laurentian. I'd be interested to hear who you guys recommend. Obvously I'd like agreed value insurance but also don't want to be tied down with only being able to use the car for "parades". I had Silver Wheel years ago and may go with them again bu...
I'm looking for a pair of drum brake arms from a 67-69 Canadian Pontiac fullsize. Not needing the spindle or anything else. Just the arms. Crusty or not, doesn't matter but must be 67-69'. They're for a Corvette 4 piston caliper disc brake conversion mockup that I'm working on. Heres a shot of a 8...

I was just getting ready to head out to "Pontiac Heaven" (my garage) when the power went out. In the two hours that followed I got to thinking that perhaps it wouldn't be a bad idea to invest in a decent generator. We have an attached granny flat for my inlaws and it doesn't take long before thei...
